General:
The route is located near the Larnaca Bay. It is located near breakwaters and it includes two large rocky reefs surrounded by sandy ecosystems and Posidonia oceanica meadows.
Details:
The route starts with a dive to the maximum depth of 14 meters.
There are two reefs, one at the west side and one at the east side. They are separated by a dune.
Starting from the reef at the west, we swim parallel to the south side of the reef until the end (about 50 meters) and we return from the same side, which is more interesting, as the surface of the reef gathers various fishes and other organizations. Here, we also meet scatteringly small Posidonia meadows.
Returning at the point we started, we continue to the east for about 50 meters, we pass over the dunes, which separates the two reefs and we meet the second reef.
Before the exploration of the second reef, we can move to the south for about 30 meters where we find large communities with Pinna (Pinna nobilis).
We return by the same path to the second reef and we move eastward from the south side until the end (about 50 meters).
To return back we move to the north of the reef until the point where the boat is located. We emerge slowly, making a safety stop.
