Description

General:

The route is located near Cape Greco, just in front of the chapel of St. Anargyroi. The area receives a lot of traffic from boats, especially during the summer. It is one of the most famous diving routes and it is visited daily by a lot of divers. The depths are between 0-30 meters and the substrate is mostly rocky. It alternates with large meadows of Posidonia oceanica.

Details:

Going down the stairs from the chapel of St. Anargyroi, we arrive in a large aboveground cave.

Entering the water (with caution because in some places there are rough and slippery rocks), depth starts at 7 meters.

We start the dive following the rocky substrate which goes down, having a large wall to the right for about 100 meters.

Then we follow the eastern path over Posidonia meadows and sandy substrate.

On our left, we have the reef which rises gradually and reaches the surface. The depth is around 19 meters.

From here, depending on the capabilities of the divers, we can continue our path until we reach 30 meters depth.

We return to the starting point following the reef from the shallow point and gradually ascending to the surface having the Posidonia meadows at our left.
