General:
The route is located near the Cape Pyla. Many divers visit the route by land, but it can be also reached by boat, as the Fishing Shelter of Xylofagou is very close. The area is characterized by impressive geological formations and several semi-enclosed caves, where big fishes are usually present.
Details:
Entering the sea from the land and starting the dive, initially, we follow a path to the south for about 20 meters, where the depth reaches 8 meters.
We proceed to the west for another 20 meters and we find the first step that descends 10 meters deep.
Then we continue to the south and we arrive, after about 30 meters, in another step which descends 15 meters depth.
We follow the reef to the southeast having the wall to our left side for about 30 meters. Here we find little coves with coral substrate and various fish species.
On our right side there is a sand substrate and extensive Posidonia oceanica meadows.
Reaching the end of the reef the depth decreases to 18 meters.
To return, we move in an opposite direction to the upper side of the reef, starting from a 15 meters depth, which gradually decreases until the point where we started the dive.
