Description

General:

The “Tripiti” dive site, is located at Kefala cape of Emborios village, which is the West edge of the “Diving Park”, at a distance of 3,5 n.miles from Melitchacha port and 0,7 n.miles from Emborios jetty.
If you leave from Emborios village, you pass the fish farm towards south and then turn behind the cape to west.
A good landmark on the shore is a big “window” formed on the rocks, where from it was named.

Details:

Descent on the small bay like formation after the “window”. The depth there is at about 5m.

Continue towards west and reach a greater depth about 15m.

You will see a rock formation going towards the deeper sea. Dive following that. You can reach a depth of 35m if following to the bottom.

Ascend along the formation to about 12m and start getting closer to the shoreline and towards east.

Cavern in about 2m depth with nice colors. Make a safety stop before entering the cavern.

Throughout the journey we meet colorful sponges, sea anemones, moray eels, nudibranchs, starfish, octopus, fish, seagrass meadows on the seabed and green algae , red algae and brown algae on and under the rocks and in holes.

After reaching our maximum depth, we ascent to at about 12-10 meters returning to the boat, and keeping the shoreline at our left hand.
